The Process

We protect your gown in a phenolic-lined, five gallon steel container. This provides a non-reactive epoxy barrier between the textile and the metal. The garment is rolled to reduce creasing, carefully placed into the metal container, which is then filled with pure argon gas delivered through a stainless wand. Since argon is heavier, it displaces the air from the bottom up. The lid has a special airtight gasket and is sealed with an industrial crimper. Your gown is now totally protected. It will be free of oxidation, yellowing, mold, moths, stretching, staining, humidity and smoke damage until the day it is opened.
